Vehicle Description This is a Sunbeam Alpine with a V8 motor.
It is not a Tiger.
Engine The motor is an aluminum Buick 215cu.
in.
V8.
This motor was chosen due to its performance, reliability and weight.
It is approximately 150lbs.
lighter than a Ford small block motor.
The distributor is front mounted therefore no modifications were necessary to the firewall or engine compartment.
The motor was rebuilt to primarily stock specifications with the adding of custom headers, Edelbrock manifold and a Holley 600CFM carburetor.
The engine runs cool with a 6 row aluminum radiator, 2 fans, pusher and a puller, which are controlled by a electronic thermostat.
When the water temperature reaches approximately 190 degrees, the fans activate until the temperature is reduced to approximately 180 degrees.
These temperatures are adjustable.
There is also an override to the fans on the dash if necessary.
There is also a radiator overflow/return line to eliminate loss of coolant.
Suspension and Drive Train The front end is a Mustang II.
The rear end is a Ford 8.
QA1 shocks are used in front and rears.
Front brakes are discs and rear brakes are drums.
Transmission is a Ford T5, 5 speed with a Hurst linkage.
New clutch assembly was installed.
15x6 VTO alloy wheels on Nitto 195x50 tires all around.
Body and Interior Body was painted with a 2 stage paint.
Letters and other insignias were removed for a smoother look.
Bumpers and other attachments were chromed, ie trunk handle, door handles, etc.
All new weather stripping was installed for hood, trunk.
doors, windshield, window fuzz, etc.
New carpeting installed with new door panels.
Seats recovered in vinyl/leather.
New convertible top sits under the soft top.
New burlwood dash installed with a new dash.
New VDO gauges installed.
Water temp, tachometer, speedometer, oil temp and voltmeter.

All dash switches are new.
Original gas tank was removed and an aftermarket tank installed under the trunk to maximize trunk space.
The license plate bracket was moved from the trunk lid to below the rear bumper.
Sound System A JVC system is an Alexa radio.
Your music lists can be played from your cell, phone, IPOD or other devicesor you can ask Alexa to play your favorite music.
Summary The mileage shown on the odometer is 2,849.
These are the original miles driven since the motor was rebuilt and the car restored in late 2017.
My intent was to use the car as a cruiser for pleasure and car shows and not high performance or racing purposes.
