Engaging in content management, content strategy, and content business development, the Product & Portfolio Management team is tasked with proactively managing Disney?s portfolio/inventory on a global basis ? primarily with respect to distribution, productions and acquisitions in international markets ? and delivering continuous and accurate programming and rights information to international teams.
The Global Distribution Business Operations & Strategy Intern will assist, and learn in the process of assisting, the team members of the Product & Portfolio Management group while carrying out the responsibilities referred to below.
A day in the life?

You will assist and support the Product & Portfolio Management team with proactively managing Disney?s portfolio/inventory on a global basis including international regions. You will also learn about the global content distribution business.
Basic Qualifications
What you bring to the role?

? Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
? Basic understanding of, and demonstrated course work and/or work experience in, finance and/or accounting
? Basic understanding of, and demonstrated course work and/or work experience in, entertainment (film & TV)
? Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks at any given time across multiple functional disciplines
? Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
? Ability to think strategically and creatively
? Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
? Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and techniques
? Strong problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
Basic Qualifications
? All students must be eligible to work in the US
? All students must be at least 18 years old
? You must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class ? OR ? be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
? All candidates must be available from September to December
? All candidates must be willing to work 20 hours/week
? All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
Preferred Qualifications
? Senior or Junior undergraduate student
? Previous internship or experience at a major or mini-major studio, Production Company, talent agency/management

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
