Senior Category Manager

Warner Bros. Consumer Products Inc. seeks a Senior Category Manager for the Global Toys department. In this role, the Manager will develop licensing plans and sales strategies and identifies growth opportunities for the Global Toys category. The Manager will also be responsible for working cross functionally with the Franchise, Product Development and Creative teams to coordinate all aspects of licensees' product development.
Provides regular ongoing updates to the Director on licensing activities, to include: New licensees signed, new product developed, revenues earned, etc.
Establishes and cultivates potential toy licensees and recommends appropriate licensee for assigned categories.
Assists in preparation of presentations to companies in assigned categories.
Negotiate contracts, recommends guarantees and royalty rates based on specific property and current market assumptions. Follows through to execution.
Monitor toy licensees' overall performances throughout contract term, including product sales, financial commitments, marketing efforts and distribution strategies.
Examine potential to cross-promote products between licensees to maximize sales opportunities.
Attends assigned trade shows and visit licensees as necessary to develop licensee base for assigned categories.
Assists Director in organizing, executing, and analyzing licensee forecasts. Participate in all budget meetings to establish revenue goals and track progress quarterly.
Work closely with Sales & Retail Business Development to determine and establish appropriate retail opportunities to build and manage WBCP brands.
Provides assigned partners with Franchise updates when applicable.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Economics or related field required.
Minimum 5 years experience in sales and marketing including at least 2 years' in entertainment licensing or related field.
Knowledge of toy licensing industry required.
Must have excellent negotiating skills, flexibility and knowledge of consumer products and the licensing industry.
Must have ability to prepare and present written and oral sales presentations, and communicate with clients, licensees, and management to determine needs and solve problems.
Experience in studio environment preferred.
Must be creative.
Knowledge of entertainment industry.
Must be an analytical thinker and strategic planner.
Must possess proven and effective sales forecasting and budgeting skills.
Must be able to travel as needed.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
