Market Title VOD Technical Support Engineer - (ABC) Answering tickets for the Video On Demand Workflow -Troubleshooting issues -Workflow problems -vendor issues -system delays Work Schedule Nights, weekends, could be 2nd or 3rd shift. Client service oriented communication and support. Exceptional communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, team player. A considerate knowledge amount of audio/video codecs and wrappers. A working knowledge of file architecture, transformation, workflows, file transport and delivery systems and protocols. Ability to perform technical troubleshooting, with an understanding of tools available for issue resolution. Windows, Mac and/or Linux server administration experience a must Experience with the following technologies: Evertz Mediator MAM Baton file QC Transcoding Solutions, i.e. Vantage, Rhozet Carbon Coder / Server, Apple Compressor. Captioning solutions; Mac Caption, A sound understanding of systems preferred / needed on project challenges or workflows Provide excellent customer service in performing over the phone analysis, diagnosis, resolution and escalate to second level support when necessary. Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot server hardware and software related applications and document instances of failures and repairs. Manage ticket queue in an efficient and timely manner by properly recording and prioritizing client requests based on current procedures and guidelines. Required Education Bachelors degree Provide workflow related support in a multimedia rich environment for issues such as; Lost/stuck file transfers Truncated / corrupt media Non-standard media deliveries / incorrect file architecture Provide technical support for Mediator MAM system and VOD workflows Manage incident report queues and documentation process of incidents for tracking purposes. Escalate issues with vendors when product support is required Communicate with clients clearly throughout the process of fielding issues Support MAM components that are intricate to the delivery of assets i.e. Aspera Orchestrator, Aspera Console, Vantage, Baton, Mac Caption and Rhozet. Participate in scheduled maintenances of core systems and components, i.e. Mediator Qualifications and Skills: Education: A.S. degree in a technical curriculum a minimum. Work Experience: 3+ years' experience working in an engineering role. Broadcast/Cable television or Studio experience is a must. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
