Financial Analyst II

Duties: -The Financial Analyst II for Cartoon Network Studios will work closely with the Finance Manager to support a variety of needs from corporate finance, production finance, operations, and production. This position is a key participant in the development, preparation and presentation of both short and long-range financial plans and/or operating budgets. Responsibilities include evaluating operating information, reporting, and various ad hoc analysis.
What will you be doing?
Responsibilities include data entry, reporting and analyses in areas such as forecasts, budgets, long-range plans and business models.
Evaluate records of past, present and future financial performance to assist in forecasts, development budgets and long range plans.
Conduct detailed research and analysis for special projects directed by management.
Facilitate departmental financial meetings with various levels of management to present timely and relevant information.
Assist the accounting group with matters related to the close process and reconciliation.
Championing the understanding of corporate procurement and related systems/programs for all users within Cartoon Network Studios.
Generate standard reports on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis using various applications (Excel, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, Ariba, Global Vista).
Qualifications: -2+ years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience.
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Works under minimal supervision and performs a variety of tasks.
Candidate must exhibit strong attention to detail, executive presence and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Initiative to propose and implement process improvements and to diagnose and solve problems.
Ability to multi-task while working in a fast paced environment
Both process and results oriented. Deadlines must be met with appropriate procedures followed.
Must have strong math skills and be comfortable modeling in excel.
Deep intellectual curiosity and general familiarity with how finance can work to the advantage of production and corporate finance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
