Server – Luxury Retirement Community

As a server in our community, you will serve meals to residents and guests in our dining room. Other server responsibilities include: folds dining room linens and prepares tables; presents menu and answers questions/makes suggestions regarding food and service; writes order on check and enters all required billing information; relays orders to kitchen and serves courses from the kitchen and service bars; delivers and picks up room service trays; assists in keeping dining room well stocked and well maintained.

Server Qualifications:


Maintains required food handlers certification


High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)


One to three months food service experience (in hospitality, country club or senior living industry preferred)


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals


Excellent oral and written communications skills


Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus


Maintains safe and secure working environment and practices safe working habits


Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds


 


Requirements:


Criminal background clearance


Pre-employment physical


Drug screening required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
