General Accountant

Job Title: General Accountant
Department: Finance
The primary role of the General Accountant is to research and analyze accounting data.
The General Accountant's responsibilities include the compilation and analysis of account information, documentation of financial transactions, and preparation of financial reports. The General Accountant maintains audit controls, does month-end closing, balance sheet and bank reconciliations and general journal entries. The General Accountant reviews and reconciles payroll and stipend processes.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5 years of experience in accounting or corporate finance field

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
