ioThis is an exciting opportunity for a Technical Writer to join our Solutions team at our global media client.
The successful candidate will be responsible for taking work products delivered from an Industrial Engineer/Business Process Modeler consultant and documenting the findings into appropriately written products that can be understood by the business.
This project will center on documenting workflows and mapping operational processes across different applications.
The technical writer will work closely with an Industrial Engineer/Business Process Modeler to understand their findings and document them into clear and concise written products and SOPs using Microsoft Word.
The project will include documenting software used, infrastructure tools, and corresponding systems required throughout the workflow lifecycle.
This position must be worked onsite in a Hybrid schedule in the Greater Los Angeles area (close to Hollywood) requiring the work to be done onsite Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays, and may require coming onsite or allow remote on Mondays and Fridays.
ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Industrial Engineer/Business Process Modeler consultant to understand their findingsParticipate in meetings with stakeholders to understand how workflows and processes should be documented in a written formatDevelop and maintain clear and concise written documentation of the consultant's findings using Microsoft WordEnsure accuracy and completeness of written documentationWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure written documentation meets their needsContinuously improve written documentation based on feedback from stakeholdersEdit and proofread technical documents to ensure they are free of errorsFormat technical documents using Microsoft Word to improve readabilityManage multiple writing projects simultaneouslyRequirementsAt least 5 years of experience as a technical writer within Enterprise IT environmentsExcellent writing skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise mannerProficiency in using Microsoft Word to format technical documentsExperience working with industrial engineering or process modeling conceptsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work closely with technical experts to understand their findingsStrong organizational and time management skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience working in creative, media or entertainment environment is preferredBachelor's degree in technical writing, English, journalism or related fieldThe US base range for this contract position is $30-$45/hour.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
