ServiceNow Business Analyst
STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and India.We are seeking a ServiceNow Senior Business Analyst to be part of an exciting 2-month project for an upcoming major sports event. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with core ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change) inside of ServiceNow and build new capabilities. The Business Analyst will write user stories for engineers, work within an Agile development methodology, document and build training materials, and work on time with all stakeholders and product team members. The ServiceNow Business System Analyst will collect, clarify, analyze, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which ServiceNow solutions are developed.This position works with the ServiceNow Technical Product Managers, Senior ServiceNow Developers and development teams to ensure the solutions are technically feasible, identifies areas to reduce implementation efforts, defines detailed stories with acceptance criteria, and works within the context of the Agile/Scrum development framework. The Business Systems Analyst will work with internal customers, members of the ServiceNow team and external implementation partners to define, test, document, and rollout enhancements, fixes, and configuration changes needed to support the enterprise. This position is also responsible for authoring content and peer-reviewing a wide array of documents, including functional, technical, and training. Responsibilities Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into user stories for engineers. Facilitate the operation of core ITSM modules and the development of new capabilities. Collaborate with a global team to scope and design solutions for documented business and technical needs. Work within an Agile development methodology to manage workflows and project timelines. Document and build training materials for new software features and functionalities. Participate actively in the design, development, and rollout of solutions on the ServiceNow platform for this project. Analyze, troubleshoot, and remedy identified system issues. Requirements 5
years of ServiceNow business analysis experience. Strong understanding of the ServiceNow Application Suite covering core ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change) modules. Strong grounding in fundamentals of business analysis and requirements gathering. Experience working with the ServiceNow Flow Designer and other ServiceNow products. Experience working with Agile methodologies. Experience working with structured data, schema, and databases. Knowledge of ITIL concepts. Exposure to the Common Services Data Model (CSDM) and CMDB Identification and Reconciliation Rules (IRE) for data ingestion. Ability to understand complex business needs and adapt appropriately. Requires a bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related areas. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, extensive familiarity with the field's concepts, practices, and procedures is required. Preferred qualifications Certified ServiceNow Administrator, Certified ServiceNow Developer, Certified ServiceNow Implementation Specialist ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 Certification or equivalent practical experience Comfortable leading in both technical and organizational contexts Experience working with large global / multinational corporations The US pay range for this contract position is $50 - 65 / hour. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
